Our Story

Ben and Paul have been good mates for over 30 years. Paul spent two decades building his plumbing business from the ground up - and like most tradespeople, he was brilliant at the actual work. What he wasn't so keen on was the mountain of paperwork that came with it. Invoices piling up on his desk, quotes scribbled on scraps of paper, and too many evenings spent on admin instead of with his family.

Ben, meanwhile, had spent his career as a software engineer and founder, helping organisations transform the way they work. When Paul asked if there was something - anything - that could help him get on top of the admin, Ben knew exactly what was needed. More importantly, he knew how to build it.

What started as a favour for a mate quickly became something bigger. They realised that every trades business owner they spoke to was fighting the same battle: too much paperwork, not enough time. So in 2023, they decided to build ProWorks properly - not just for Paul, but for every electrician, plumber, builder and contractor who'd rather be doing the job than drowning in admin.

Since launch, we've worked hand-in-hand with trades business owners across the UK, adding new features every month based on what they actually need. ProWorks isn't built in a boardroom - it's shaped by the people who use it every day.
